Mary, Pat and Family, I'm very sorry to hear of Sonny's passing. I think in every life there are a handful of people who really make a lasting impact and who help shape who we become; fathers, teachers, coaches, colleagues. Sonny was one of those men for me. The years I worked for Sonny and the lessons I learned back then are times and memories I still cherish. He was larger than life to the kid that I was, but as another said, a "gentle giant". Rest in Peace Sonny.

May the God of all comfort be with you while you await the fulfillment of his promises at Revelation 21:3-5 where it reads "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” 5 And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also, he says: “Write, because these words are faithful and true.” Sincere condolences for your loss.

So sorry to hear of Sonny's passing. Sonny and I had several things in common; we both liked to play golf, we are both big Friar fans, and we both suffered from a stroke. Fortunately I was able to recover enough to continue to play golf, alas Sonny was not. I truly missed those golf outings with him. We continued to commisurate about the tribulations of the Friars however every time we met. A true gentleman and a gentle man. He will be missed by us all.
