Tonya Danyel Thornton, 30, of Campbell Hill, IL, formerly of Pinckneyville, passed away at 10:22 P.M., Sunday, March 10, 2013 at her residence.
Tonya had been a waitress. She had attended Pinckneyville High School.
She was born September 28, 1982 at Sparta, IL, the daughter of Richard D. Thornton and Julia Ann (Gibbs).
She is survived by two children – Dylan Thornton of Du Quoin and Kaley Silbe of Pinckneyville, her fiancé – Greg Huseman of Campbell Hill, IL, her mother – Julia Ann (Gibbs) Wright and fiancé Russell Folden of Marion, IL, her grandmother – Betty Vancil of Marion, IL, one brother – Matthew Thornton of Coulterville, one sister – Heidi Gordon and Brian Huseman of Willisville, IL, one nephew – Trae Modlin, two nieces – Madelyn Gordon and Marissa Gordon, and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, grandfather – Fred Gibbs, step grandfather – Walter Lee Vancil, grandparents – Alford and Emily Thornton, aunt – Vickie Davidson and uncle – Danny Thornton.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M., Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Pastor Brian Brewer officiating.
Friends may call from 11 A.M. until the time of service on Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Coulterville Cemetery at Coulterville, IL.
